BMJ Muriithi

BMJ Muriithi is an international Broadcaster/Multimedia specialist with the Voice of America (VOA) and is based  in Washington DC. He previously filed his stories from Atlanta, Georgia. Muriithi has worked as a TV, Print and online reporter for Nation Meda Group as an International Correspondent covering the Western Hemisphere. He, among other things, has interviewed key political personalities, including Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, former president Mwai Kibaki, opposition leader Raila Odinga and Tanzanian Foreign Affairs Minister, Augustine Mahiga. He is well versed with the African social-economic and political landscape, having covered East and Central Africa for many years. Muriithi has covered major international events, including the UN general assembly in New York and the African Union summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He also covers everyday human interest stories from around the world.

His hobbies include reading, swimming, poetry and acting.
